I'm not sure if I have mentioned on this forum before about the register I have started. It is for UK use due to transporting issues.
I have designed a database whereby volunteers can be sorted by any category, primarily geographically in order to help with transport, fostering, home checks, dog assessments, buddy (helping somebody closeby with any problems or just moral support).
The register will only be used for rescue and not passed on to anybody except those rescue organisers who wish to have a copy.
It is very early days and I am attempting to reach breed club memberships.
Already the list has been used for three searches and one of them had a dog on the road within two hours of notification.
I am sure there are many out there with the facilities to help a rescue one way or another and if you would like to join the register (Data Protection Act applies) please pm me and I will send you a form.
