to be or not to be -- in your bed that is « Thread Started on Sept 7, 2009, 9:34pm »
Dear friends,
Just plain curious what people like to do when it comes to incredible desire to cuddle up with your dog but you know that giving an "inch" to a Weim is like promising him/her a key to your house and maybe your car
I am still holding out on both bed and sofa issue. It's off limits for him and he knows it. Although he is testing this theory by putting his head on my lap and then paw by paw as I watch TV on my sofa. Considering caving in or is it a suicide by pretty-eyed tailed teenager?

haha, tasha, I am starting to feel the same way, we have a two-sitter sofa and the boy is getting too big to squeeze between us. He is now only allowed to join in when he is invited to. Otherwise, it's reserved for larger "animals-owners" The bed, however is totally off-limits to him.
How hard was it to "untrain" your pup to not sit on the sofa? I hear it's the hardest thing to do when the dog already knows he/she had access to the place and now it's not allowed they fight for their rights with all their sweet souls!

I know perhaps we are to soft but Autumn sleeps on the sofa or the big chair. It doesn't matter if we are there or not. She will squeeze in. We made a agreement. When we want to sit there were Autumn stays she has to leave. And she will leave without any comment or else. The way she lays on the sofa does make you hart melt.
