I'm so sorry to hear this news about Falko I have a question...do dogs have to pass tests in Germany or can they be done in some other country...as far as I'm familiar with this tests I think that in Slovenia we have the same tests (Vjp, Hzp...)? Eva

Sorry Tasha I forgot your awnser! Of course will they test foreign dogs!!It´s only the Weimaraner Klub that is so narrow minded when it comes down to breeding.I would travel throughout Europe for the right stud if I only could! I just don´t believe in artifical insemination. I hope you all keep coming to Germany for testing. The more internatioal the competition the more we(my husband and I) like it. Greetings Nadja

Well, the Germans to accept some hunting test from other countries, if they´re similar to ours. But Falko would still have to go to the WK for conformation and character test.So his teeths will always be a problem. Nadja

So if a dog for example passes hunting tests (Vjp, Hzp...) in Slovenia he has to go to Germany to pass character test and than can be used for breeding? I think the biggest problem is that the parents of a dog have to have this tests...what if the parents are not alive anymore

Hi Eficia, if the parents are not alive, there will be no chance for the offspring to be used for breeding in Germany. It is a crying shame, but a fact as of right now. It is solely due to the lack of genetic knowledge in the WK. I cannot write in big letters "outcross only" on my banner, and at the same time don´t allow my breeders to seek the blood they like (foreign lines). Nadja
