Gin got a small accident this evening... She was running in the fields, chasing a hare. Unfortunately she hit a border of a meadow. Directly called our vet, she needs stitches in her frontleg... Within 2 weeks, we have this big specialty show, hope she is cured by then....

Sorry to hear this . I hope she gets better soon. This is what comes with their wild nature. And there is nothing we can do about it. ;D Bye

Have you already heard something from the vet? I hope she will be fine soon!! An accident like that happens quickly when they are chasing something.... I remember that Thilda was chasing something in the woods (probably a rabbit), when she came back her chest was full of blood, branches had scarfed her chest open..... but it's amazing how fast they heal.....

Hopefully Gin is doing allright by now...!? Chasing hares comes with risks... Tyler also had his share of surgeries (and he's only 13 months old) - two times his leg: (1) running as an idiot through the woods - probably chasing someting - and returning with a small piece of wood between his toes (the vet had to cut it out.... ) and (2) going grazy in the water (he loves to run through little streams and returning with a deep cut beneath his foot - again the vet had to do some work... At least they heal fast! But they don't learn from it..... Tyler is still going grazy in the woods, or fields chasing anything interesting! Hopefully Gin will be fully recovered for the upcoming show! Greetings, Wendy

Oh - poor Gin! I'm glad that she's back with you from the vets, and that she's comfortable. Good idea to sleep next to her tonight... It might not make much difference to her, but you'll probably get a lot more sleep as you'll be able to check she's ok, and close your eyes again quickly! Sian

Her night was good !!!! yippie !! She is walking around now with a weim T-shirt so she can't lick on the wound ... The stiches may be removed within 10 days. The cut is at the end of her frontleg, there where her sholder starts. The cut is over the whole horizontal aria...

Homeopathic Arnica 30c, one tablet 3 times a day for a few days helps it heal quicker. Sending her Reiki if she wants it.
