Her i thought it would be a great idea to put up our weims pedigrees to see how they are all related, it could be interesting for those people who don't breed, show, hunt or know much about their dogs family history. I will start off with Maddies Pedigree

how do you attach the pedigree(s)? Misty Rose Dexter, Misty Mountain Slade and Nome's Silver Bullet are all related to the Colsidex line. Misty should be checked on her thyroid yearly as she turns 4 years old this Monday the 28th but otherwise, she has a great cowlick on the back of her neck, had a bitch relative that did well in the ring with the same cowlick but I haven't found out what the name of the bitch was yet. I spayed her last Dec when Bullet was neutered. Rescued at 9 weeks old, they didn't like her cowlick or she'd have been bred every heat! Slade has seasonal and food allergies, at least one of his brother's is most likely being bred, but I neutered Slade/Bub as allergies should not be passed on. Rescued at 4 months age. Bullet has the best pedigree for champions but only on his sire's side- his sire was the only one not titled. His dam was all hunting or BYB weims and her conformation is all off but her willingness and drive to hunt and retrieve are unbeatable. He got that, plus forepaws toe out, and bottom teeth/jaw protrude from her side. Neutered him once he was well enough, was a rescue at 7 months age. Boris Van Valckensteyn is related to Marjolein's Mowgli (Cira Vom Weipen, sister to Boris' dam- **and did I finally say this right?? ) and Ina's Foster:) Absolutely no health problems, no complaints! He might be too relaxed for some, but when he needs to kick in gear, he does real quick. I love his relaxed attitude while still alpha. Yours in related to the Gunalt line in the 3rd-5th generations, and I'm wondering if Pipwell Phantom, Pipwell Paday and Pipwell Prelude are Pip's? What is Maddie's proper name? Maddie's Southern Flaminco??

pipwell is a breeder here with the pipwell affix owned by Mr & Mrs M & J Hesford. They have a contact on the champdogs website. Int he UK the first part of the name is usually the affix although that is not always the case some individual breeders can name all their own litter others if chosen for them by the kennel club will hold that years affix to identify them.
She is related to bonnie through several different gunalt lines.
Cheryl which Colsidex Line are your dogs related to? Alot of the UK dogs will have a line there because of Colsidex Standing Ovation.

My first girl Abbie (Denmo Drama Queen)[and she was lol] was sired by Gunalt Excess when he was under one year old and the mother was Gunalt Dame of Denmo. She has a lot in common with your 5th generation.
We lost Abbie at almost 9 years old about 18 months ago. She could hunt like stink as somebody once put it, lol, but unfortunately I never used her to the best of her ability. She was a companion dog.
Holly, is a rescue, so did not come with papers. From what I know about her she is from a puppy farm in Wales and went out into the wide world via a pet shop. It should not be allowed!!!!!

Cheryl, I typed all of Maddies pedigree out and then used the "print screen" button on the keyboard and pasted it into paint and put it on the forum as a picture.
As for Maddies name its Kenmilleven Adrastea. Strange I know but thats what she came with.
I would love to have Maddie go hunting and use her natural instincts and what she was bred for but i don't hunt and i don't know anyone that does.
I don't know whether I would show her either, it's a very competitive world the showing worl and you have to be very dedicated to it to succeed. And going to uni doesnt give me much time to do things like that.
Now that you (may) know how to put pedigrees on we can see a lot more.

There are plenty of classes around that you could take her to and even if you don't hunt yourself you can still get involved with things like Gundog Working Tests or beating on some of the shoots dependant upon where you live. The gundog working tests are great fun and you get to meet loads of people. The youngest classes start at 6 months which is a couple of basic retrieves, a swim and some hunting.

Hi Tasha, we're on the same time:)
Joga is Misty's 2x great grand sire, Slade's 6x great grand sire, and if I remember right, he's also Bullet's 6x ggsire. All three rescues "other side of their pedigree" were either byb's or just companion hunters, no titles or testing.
Slade has at least 12 blues on his pedigree, he started out blue but he's changed color with his sparse coat, seasonal and food allergies. He's finally "normal" as can be, on honey, off corn and wheat, swims during the entire month of July to keep him out of the fields while I fish:0)
Bullet is Evad's grandson (Sargent/Saxman's Banner was his sire) his dam's pedigree another BYB/companion hunting. He's got very impressive drive to hunt and retrieve, doesn't give up when he knows its there. He's finally put on weight and healthy, too. Both he and Slade were in bad shape when I got them.
I desperately wanted to attend a training session June 2nd in Wasilla but cannot right now, have to get the house and cabin ready for more (adult) kids coming home for the summer, I haven't seen my second son in person for 12 years! I'm going to just have to train Bullet and Boris at the same time and nothing will stop me attending next year with both of them, they'll have matured a bit by then, should be able to get to a few gatherings to get experience behind them around the Fairbanks/Anchorage areas.
(I saw how Pip came all the way up to Alaska to judge in the near past when I was doing some research this past winter.)
I'm at work right now so will post pedigrees another time, it will take me a bit...as usual;)

My bitch is called Cosanostras spear, and they are slightly related. Cosanostra's camo which is on Maddies dams side, is the half sister to my weims grandma. (cosanostra's amy's girl) And Maddies dam is a full sibling to the other weim that i used to have, his sire is kenmillone dawn chorus. And his name is fast and furious. Dont know if you have heard of this site that you are able to look up the breed database. www.weimaraner.tv/newpage.php

Poor Misty Isn't in the database Not all is typed in the database yet. So many to place in the database. It costs all time. But if you fill in the form on the website it will be in next update. The dogs which come in via the form I always give prior.

For the ones who miss their dogs info on the website: www.weimaranerpedigrees.com/pedigreesubmit/pedigreesubmit.htmYou can submit a pedigree. Or you can send it to me per email ( sylvia_voorn@planet.nl ) I will add them then in the database, and the dog will show up the next update then. I have so many books here still to add that it can take some time before I have entered it all (I am still in 1982 with the Breed Records ). With using the form or sending the pedigree I will do it directly.
