For Holland the three yearly jab is good enough Tash. In fact, for all European countries it is good enough. I have the list from our ministery to confirm it.
We only give the three yearly jabs btw.

I wonder why my vet was making such a fuss then, he suggested going through the whole jab process again,which would mean another 6 months at least till I could visit...and lots more money in his pocket :-(

You mean every 3 years I imagine and not 3 per year. ;-) Actually, In France Rabies vaccines are only valid for 1 year, which I hate because it's the same shot. I hate giving that shot every year, it's so bad for their health. And, if you miss the deadline to give it, you will have to wait a month afterwards for it to be valid. |

this is partly what I am worrying about I have to go to france to see relatives and i want to go to germany next year as well as organise a trip to see Mar hopefully with my friend anna who is also struggling to sort out her passport, her vet hasn't even issued it saying that she'd get it for longer if she didn't get it issued until she is ready to use it...not sure why it would extend the passport?  Bonnie is in season at the moment which is a pain because its knocked alot of my plan out of the window but it is giving me a chance to sort out some training with Ayla. |

FYI one of the requirements for vet checks is that you receive an O.K. for your dog to travel no sooner than 10days before the flight. When we were going to send our dogs I found this out. Also, if you have a pet passport, I was told you can drive from country to country (ie, Germany, Italy, Swiss, etc with your dog and his valid passport. Also, on the trip back, you will need another 10 day vet check to travel again. Depending on the vet and the airlines ther may be some difference, but that is what I was told.
