Hello Heidi and welcome. I'm so glad to meet you and Busta and Cash. He is adorable. (And so is she!) Hope to see more pictures of your lovely boy and girl.

Thanks Guys I want to really concentrate on bonding with Cash while he is still at this young age. It will be hard tho with Busta about & not receiving as much attention. I know I will have abit of time to catch up on with Cash & feel I have to take the right steps & plan out how I will be doing this. Can anyone think of some bonding strategies I can use with CASH while having Busta still around ?

Bonding. The best way to achieve this would be training I think. Just basic obedience. Make sure you ask easy things from him. Ignore the bad things and praise the good things big time. Bonding is also doing with him what you'd do with Cash. So don't treat him like a rescue (not sure if he is a rescue....). Some people feel sorry for these dogs and treat them differently than they'd do with any other dog. That's a recipe for disaster. Make sure you give Busta the well deserved attention as well. Cash also has to learn that sometimes you have to give another dog attention as well. Don't worry too much about it. I'm sure you'll do a great job with them!

Thanks Marjolein ur comment has really helped. I think I will start one on one obedience lessons with Cash in the park untill I join classes again. This would be a great way of bonding with my new pup with out the distraction of Busta. Here is a pic taken today from the breeder of 'Cash' & his sister 'Crystal' on the farm. Cash is the one in the background

Hi Heidi, That's right about the Perth people. You'll have to start beating the Euroweims drum on the west coast. My dogs are from Ashlaren Weimaraners and there are a few over in Perth with Maureen Wilkenson aswell. Need to get her on the forum. I think she just got a new boy. Should be about 5 months old i think.
Anyway, see you round the forum Heidi.
