I had an email from a committee member of the Vic club during the week indicating that the club had not received them back from the judge yet.

Hi Cyd As a committee member of the Weimaraner Club of Vic I can tell you and anyone else that would like to know the following;
The Critiquing has been formatted by the judge we are in constant contact with his office at least twice a week chasing this up with, over 200 dogs that where given a critique I can only image this to be a long and difficult task. Once we have got the critque back it will then come to me and I will work with the interpreter to have this typed up and put onto certificates and into the book.
This will then be posted to anyone that has orderd it along with the excellent certs.
As far as the DVD again you where at the national you know how long he took to judge. On the DVD every aspect of every 239 has been captured from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail. Carol has been spending a lot of her time with the people that are doing the DVD helping with the editing etc and from all accounts it will be well worth the wait a must for any serious Weimaraner breeder.
So if you have any other questions about the above please feel free to contact any of the members of the committee.

Hi everyone,
Just to let you know about the DVD, tapes of the Weimaraner National. I have been editing with the people who have filmed the show and there was 239 entries minus a few scratchings and we have just completed one day of filming. It takes approximately 15 minutes to edit one dog and I have already spent 5 hours checking names and dogs etc. In the open bitch class of 34 the judge kept changing his routine and even forgot to critique one lot and had to go back and do it. When there is 2 cameras working and they have to be linked it is a very difficult task to edit the dogs.
I can assure everyone that is is absolutely fantastic and in my opinion, something that every Weimaraner breeder should have in their shelf as it is vertually every dog that is shown in the country except for a couple who didn't make the effort to come. It will be well worth the wait. Anybody can purchase these DVD's and you can contact me if you should want a set.
Our tasks have been difficult as the judge spoke very little English which has made it very difficult for the critiquing, however I have heard today that the judge has definitely posted it to us now its up to Suzanne to type it as someone translates it, a huge job.
Will write later to tell you all about my new import who is in quarantine.
Carol

Well I only ordered the DVDs last week and yesterday they arrived - all four of them!
I have currently 'broken for lunch' after watching the first two DVDs and I am planning on watching the other two tomorrow.
There is a voice over which tells you the name of the dog being judged complete with the names of the sire and dam.
They are certainly worth every penny, and an essential for any real Weimaraner enthusiast.
Thanks to those who helped with the swift shipment of the DVDs, you certainly have some lovely dogs there in Oz!

Hello Nina
I need to check my bank statement but think it was just short of £60 pounds which I thought was an absolute bargain for four DVDs.

Hi,
Just to let you know about the DVD's, they have been picked up and will be distributed ASAP. Some of the overseas ones have been sent as they were ordered directly through the photographer whereas we have 40 + to send out.
The critique book is almost finished and then the individual ones have to be typed. The problem we had was that the judge sent the critique back handwritten and in Polish after we requested that it be typed and in English, this caused great traumas as we found people who could read Polish but couldn't read his handwriting. Eventually we struck it rich and it has been done, I have proof read it and it has to go to the printers and then should be ready for distribution, some will be hand delivered to Sydney Royal. It is a huge exercise and is being done as quickly as possible. The Club apologizes for the delay but the judge was the problem.

I have had a chance to grab snippets of the other half of the DVDs today and I must say that the quality of your dogs there is absolutely exceptional. I mean real quality. I imagine any judge would be hard pushed to sort out the top places. ;D I am hoping to set aside some time to watch the whole thing in one sitting but it's lengthy! As a side note, I noticed he made you guys run and run for your money! Not sure I could have kept up and I may have ended up like this at the end
