Hi group! finally I got my Weimaraner and I was looking for more info about correctly raising this little wonder. So I found this forum and I became a member... His name is Anubis and he's really cute, won't you agree? He's a little older then 8 weeks and can be a little devil, but also a litlle angel...at the same time!!!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I will be posting some new pictures soon, so you can see the progress that our little Anubis is making... Anubis is really a sweet dog who likes to be very close to us. We already could learn him some basic thing like "sit" and "bench"... And he knows that going out means also to produce first some "pipi" But for now the biggest problem to solve is that "biting" in the hands, problem that has been dealt with in other treads on this forum. So we know what to do... (almost) In a few weeks he's old enough to go to puppy class, so that will be a new challenge for him (and me) Thanks again for letting us "use" your experience to make of Anubis a wonder of a Weimaraner Many kisses from Hoegaarden to all of you

You don't come across a name like Anubis very often but today I came across it in a book I was reading. How's that for synergy:D How and why did you choose that name? www.touregypt.net/godsofegypt/anubis.htm

Hello greyghost! Why the name Anubis? Well...It's like you said, it's a name that you don't hear to often for a dog. Also, you could say that the Egyptian God Anubis was a guide for men to a “better place” (although I think that Hoegaarden, Belgium is the place to be! ) …and he looked after the people he guided… But, I just liked the name, it has a good “ring” to it! I even tested it first! “Anubis, here!” ;D Works for us… Another set of photos. What do you think?
