This is the photo I took to send to people who ask me if they are ever destructive. The two chairs on the left were seen to by Reily in 10 minutes. That is not 10 mins each, that's the two of them! :oHis parents Phantom and Lara can be left unsupervised in the house, how they produced 'Jaws', I do not know! His sister is about the same. Kids! And that is OUTSIDE, LOL!!! Ask Liz if the name Riley has anything to do with it? I'd better be quiet, or my good luck in that department will change as I speak!!! (Bully was howling at the bay window this morning because he didn't get a turn to retrieve the ptarmigan but he could see Pojken doing it...see?

This is familiar - jett is presently staying with me and he ate the window frames either side of my front door - the carpenter is coming on the weekend to replace all the window frames - GREAT. Narelle

The one on the right had a labrador finish the job! Probably the worst we have had was a Wei x lab. That dog was just jaws with legs!
Reily's sister Bailey was bitten by a Tiger snake at about 6 months, and when she started to eat things in the house, we knew she was well. She had been SUCH a good girl. Should have known it wouldn't last. LOL She ate the front of my wallet, a buckel off a shoe, and the front cover of a hard cover book. About 6 blankets, too. Oh yes, Reily also ate my mobile phone. He left the SIM card and the battery totally undamaged, and the rest was artistically arranged red plastic in the middle of the bed. And he greats you so happily. He has no idea that he's done anything wrong. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, our Reily. He is a LH, and he is just a big teddy bear. The biggest puppy I ever met!
Having a boarding kennel, we have pretty much seen it all. There are some breeds that I would not have as a gift. I'll stick to Weis. Even after pretty much living with them all, we still have the best breed. Wendy

Hey Narelle, perhaps you should rename Jett. Termite springs to mind LOL! Wendy (you can only laugh when they're not yours ;-) Haha

holy cannolli! Our boy Iago who is turning 2 this month was a veritable Saint! He only destroyed specific objects belonging to me (mobile phone, camera, 3 books, 1 boot), on occasions where he felt angry and therefore vindictive. The books were actually kinda bad so I like to think of it as literary good taste at work rather than random destruction. Otherwise, he pretty much left the house in one piece. Our girl Pepper is a different story ... we have recently moved house and she has taken upon herself to , ehm, unpack my books and cds. E.i., chew them to ribbon more like it.
The other day she greeted my mother -in-law at the door with a maria callas cd box in her mouth. The cd was actually intact so I figured she's musical.
The only thing she hasnt tried to eat are our bills. Pitty though, she'd get a bout of indigestion that would set her right. Or maybe not...
Oh well, another facet of the versatile Weim. Interior decorator. They could have their own "Extreme Home Makeover" show.

Hey Rute - Phantom has the same kind of discerning taste. He has peeled wallpaper off our hall wall. He looked quite shocked when I was mad with him. I don't like the wall paper, either. We had a litter of dachshunds staying with us who chewed through the plaster wall where they were. Naughty little sods!

I have never ever heard of anything like that!! Nope, none of my dogs have ever been distructive... they have been to tired to do things like that ;-) Go out tracking with them for a few hours, that should save the furniture :-) Hopefully...

;)Hi Indy.. I have found that Falko can do the most damage when he has been properly exercised for an hour or so. Seems he takes a bit of time to 'wind down" hence he eats things that belong to others.. My shoes, my blanket and pillows. Fortunately, he has not taken to eating anything that is a permanent fixture, like my windows or door jams, and he leaves the furniture alone. He really enjoys toilet paper and my bills.. sorry Rute, he does not get a sour stomache, but I had a fine time trying to explain in some sort of German to please send me another phone bill as my other one had been consumed!! LOL Well as I tell my girls, it is just what puppies do, close and lock all your doors, keep things that you want to keep up of the floor and above 6 feet. Now on his hind legs if he stretches he is about 5'10 inches! take care! jai

Wow - I know this was posted a few weeks ago but this is some damage. Luckily my two are couch potatoes - destruction would never enter their minds. I can imagine you need a step ladder to reach everything in your house now

Crikey , they have done some damage there. My friend who has Eric's uncle took him shopping with her one day and on the drive home he ate through the back seats to get to the food. PMSL!!!!!
