Do you find that your 16 week with full tail has peroblems sitting compared to your adult weims? would be interesting to find out as Mitz has trouble when sitting ....
How can I add a picture like what I have seen on the threads?
also where were you on your holidays? Hope you had a good 1.

Hi Kelly and welcome to the forum from me and Holly (rehome) age 6.5. Before her I had Abbie, who actually owned me, but we lost her a while back. She was our first ever dog and a weim to boot. It was a big learning curve but we survived it and she taught us a lot.
How can a dog with a tail have problems sitting - it is perfectly natural. ;D What do you mean she has trouble???
To post a pic you will need to host it somewhere like Flickr or similar and then use the URL link to post it. Just put [ img ] in front of the link and [ /img ] at the other end of it BUT WITHOUT THE SPACES, had to put those in just to display it on here.
If you want to chat anytime I am usually around. Just pm me your telephone number sometime.
Is Mitz your first dog/Weim?

Hello Lesley, Thank you for your reply. Yes Mitzi is our 1st weim , and so far soo good Mitzi is a good girl apart from when it comes to food Mitzi seems to sit to one side when she sits , and can sometimes fall , if you get what i mean? and the only thing I can think of is because her tail is in the way ?? I dont know sounds silly to me , although I have also read that weims can suffer with hip problems ?? I will have a chat with the vet when she goes for her reg weight check , to see what he thinks about the tail matter.

Hi Kelly--nice to see you made it over here.
Just a thought on Mitzi and sitting. Puppies at that age are very clumsy===and also natural born clowns and hams. Is it possible that she fell over once, and got an amused reaction and attention from you===and continues to do it because she likes the amused reaction and/or attention? Dogs can be very quick to pick up on things like that.

Hi I have a 4 nearly 5 month old Weimaraner with a tail. She was bred about a week after the tail docking ban in the UK. I think she is just fab and her tail does not bother her at all. She wags it so much I am sure she will wobble over some days ;D
Weimaraners are clumsy at the best of times, it may not be the tail thats the cause. Often pups fall about just because they can. Like human toddlers, they fall about all the time dont they.
If you ever want to see my dogs just click my website link at the bottom here. I must update it with lots of new photos of her. Take care Rachel

Hi Kelly,
Puppies do sit to the side sometimes but so do the adults. When you see puppies playing they always fall over, do tipple overs, roll overs, they can be like rag dolls and be floppy and silly. I wouldnt worry. Did she come from hipscored stock?
My weims are firstly pets then show dogs. Although I dont show Luke and Leah anymore and Morgan just wasnt up to the standard. I lost my show girl last year tragically at 3 yrs old. The one I bought in (Jodie) is from good stock but she doesnt like showing, she is quite skittish which is a shame as she is a very nice puppy.
We stayed on a campsite in a place called Priddy which is between Wells and Cheddar. We were there for nearly 3 weeks and had lovely weather and a great time.

Maybe I should re phrase it because different areas of the UK can have different meanings to a word. What I meant to say was, she is no different to a docked dog. I hope thats made more sense.
