Dogs must win 100 points for the title of Australian Champion.
If awarded best dog or best bitch you are awarded 5 points plus one point for each dog you beat including yourself. If you win best of breed then you also win a point for each dog of the opposite sex.
Lowest points at a show to win is 6 (this would mean you were the only weimaraner there)... most points you can win at one show is 25, automatically earned if you win best of group.
25 points must be gained over the age of 12 months.
Realistically this means no Championships are won before 12 months of age but at the same time an Australian Champion may be made up by not beating even one dog!
Australia also has a Grand Champion system whereby 1000 points earns the title.
In Australia all champions and grand champions compete against the youngest of pups for the points so for instance living in suburban Sydney its tough competition to earn your title, grand or Aust Ch....
