I think a European Specialty show is a fantastic idea, but it would mean a lot of work! But if a lot of people pitched in and helped it could work! But I was wondering about the hunt tests; What rules would it be judged by? Every country (almost) has different rules. I am all for trying something new, but it would be good to know well in advance what the rules were.
I was surprised because I thought nearly all judges did this! (But I haven't been to dog shows out of Scandinavia so I haven't really thought about it much). I have been only to 2 shows that this was not done. How about critiques? Are they given in all of Europe or is this also something that varies?

Hi
Today I saw a press release from the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Ireland who is hosting the Rhodesian Ridgeback World Congress – “ Congress Ireland 2008 ”
It's a four yearly ‘get together’ for Ridgeback fanciers which started its World Tour in 1984 with host country –South Africa.
Since then the ‘tour’ has visited Denmark (1988), England (1992), Australia (1996), the Netherlands (2000) and most recently the USA (Texas 2004). It is anticipated that delegates, many with their dogs, will attend Congress from Britain, Europe, USA, Canada, South Africa, Israel, Australia and New Zealand. The R.R.W.C. 2008 will take place over four days with renowned international speakers participating.
Congress delegates will attend seminars and workshops on subjects ranging from breed history and standards, health and medical advancements and to debate relevant new issues pertaining to the breed.
The Congress will culminate with The Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Ireland’s championship show – in conjunction with the R.R. World Congress 2008.
Congress Ireland is being organised to precede the annual “Munster Circuit” – a week long series of championship shows.
So Irena, looks like it can be done!!
