We have some members who are really good at photo editing. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good photo editing programme. We have Picasa, which is fantastic, but I'd like to be able to do more than that offers.
Even better if the software is free!!! ;D
Thanks, Nina

Well there are many programs that can help to edit photos, they differ in commands and in the way of piloting. I think You should choose one that is easy to pilot, the one You are used to. Of course the most common is Adobe Photoshop I think, it is not very difficult to learn and it is easy to pilot when You get sued to it. As it is very popular You can find many descriptions ans plugins on the Internet. And if You decide on the Adobe Photoshop I think You should choose one of the new versions well for example Adobe Photoshop CS 8.0 it is quite new and a bit more simple to pilot than the older versions.

Adobe Photoshop is certainly the best and is what I use, but also quite expensive and may be more than the average person needs. If you think you'll be serious about digital imaging, go for photoshop. You can try it for 1 month for free: www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/I've never used these programs, but there's Photoshop Elements: www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelwin/Corel's Pantshop Pro www.corel.com/These would probably be adequate for the average personal use. Again, I've never used them myself - but there is a huge difference in cost and east of use (I imagine).
