I have owned dogs long enough to have really learned my lesson (translation: close the door). BUT why is it that whenever I am in the middle of changing the sheets and duvet covers, my dogs who, up until a couple of minutes before, looked decidedly content and sleepy curled up on the sofa, suddenly get a new lease of life, charge up the stairs, then dive straight on to the bed like naughty little kids and then start playing like their lives depended on it? ;D Why is it, when wrapping large Christmas presents and you can’t find a table big enough, and only the floor will do, one of them awakes from their sleep, decides to come over to see what you are doing only to stand straight in the middle of that nice piece of crisp, gold wrapping paper? Asking them to get “off” only draws them closer to you, the paper crushing further with every little step. And…………..why is it, that in my lifetime, I will always have the one dog that insists on knocking on the door to go outside but then when you open the door, they look at you as if to say “sod that, am not going out there!” and then they run off - literally. Five minutes later, it’s tap, tap, tap at the door……… ;D I guess I could quite easily close the door but it wouldn’t be half as much fun. ;D

Thanks for the giggle Daniela. Im sure you are not alone. Dogs definitely get put outside while the bed is being made and the door stays shut until it is time to go to bed otherwise.................it is a disaster area. My Foxie especially digs and gets under the sheets and totally wrecks it.

He-He! I can indeed relate - Why does when u put enough trust in ur 8 month old pup to leave wallets & shoes around the house at night in paw distance u wake to no bank cards & one of ur favourite sandals chewed?
- Why does when u decide to put a dog door in u wake every morning to a collection of sticks on the lounge room floor?
- Why does when u buy an expansive so called last for ever bone the walls get licked & munched on instead?
Because I love their company every day & they make me smile when they look my way! With their crazy antics I must admit its a story to tell, But to tell the truth the day I got them I knew I was in for a bit of hell

Funny how I can smile and laugh about it tonight, but wasn't just the other day:)
And Why, does 80# Bub have to race and plop onto my pillow right when I am trying to get there? And why won't he move??? And who is guarding my pillow they dug from under the blankets and I find no where near where I left it??? (Its a water pillow and I need a surveillance camera!)

the answer? because these are Weimaraners, and they own us, so how dare we even consider doing anything without their help and another one: why, when we want them to be still and calm, do they insist that THIS is the moment to wriggle, and wag, and play bow, and squirm ...... oh the list is endless hehe....... and another one just for Mar - why is it, when you say 'oh they never do that'.........they do it almost immediately Nina

Well, I remember when we had two puppies that we were running on. They were about 12 weeks and we, rather foolishly left about £100 in notes on the side, and they ate it! We found bits oif shredded notes all over their bed - everything but the serial numbers. LOL
