Cyd, who's head is she favoring? I see Rookie favors Ali, but w/the male substance. He seems to have the proper touch feminism to him, too (for looks and to counter too much masculinity). I haven't seen pictures of Rookie since Wendy sent some my way...awhile back. (I wrote more on the new or triple titles, to you and Pip both)
So wonderful, to see this...continuation of beauty, strenghth, being built upon from Ali and her breeder(s)!
I obtained the last male pup from the local shelter bred by a young couple where I live this spring. His sire was to be destined for the ring but "disappeared" after being bred prior to starting his show career. The sire (of the pup I have been working to bring back to health) was the only weim on his sire's entire pedigree that was not a show champion. I see a lot of the sire's line in my newest guy, but also see his dam's faults overshadowing the greatness everyone worked to stamp into that line and were to improve upon for the future. Now that he's finally healthy he'll be neutered at the end of the month but I will post pictures prior to that.
I call him Bully as he puts his body sideways but with regard to his front end in control of the situation to protect me from possible jeopardy and I believe his official name (he cannot be papered) was to have been Nome's Silver Bullet. His front feet stick out sideways, his body is not shaped properly but it has been hard to see that fault since he's been so underweight. His bottom lip sticks out, like a pout, and his eye lashes and/or eye lids (top) give him the impression he's wearing false eyelashes or something I've not put my finger on...
My 3 y/o female was from the same young couple, her looks favor the Colsidex line, but another down breeding. Her faults would be too much substance, again from her dam, even as the runt of the litter. She favors a cowlick and that saved her from being bred and made it possible for her to become my little princess. But they, as first time breeders and the pups would have had better results if they had bred mine (when she was theirs) to Bully's sire instead of the female they chose, in conformation (only). So to see all the right things, instead of daily catching glimpses of the greatness within, shining out...Thank you so much to everyone and their efforts!
