docking must have had some impact, I know several people who don't like the tails on their new dogs... I know of pups who are docked & still cannot find new homes so I don't think tails have got much to do with it.

£1.09 a litre? God thats expensive must admit its not easy making the pennies go as far as they should do I'm just glad that I brought my little van, its not pretty but sooooo much cheaper than my beast of a car!! I have to admit I have a longtailed dog with me at the moment and am slowly getting used to it, it does get in the way though poor sausage has nearly had his tail caught in the door a couple of times and I have to be more careful when shutting the back of the car as well but you soon get used to it. So far he's not had any problems in the hunting field with his tail but he is not an oversized weim, has good muscle and is surprisingly agile far more so than bonnie despite his size and he's been in the thickest of the stuff that I usually go through first for bonnie without any problems. Are we placing bets on the numbers in the next BRS?? Be interesting to see if its higher or lower than last years figures.

So sorry to hear of your dilemma Lynn. I agree with Fred about getting the good info out about the already house broken and willing to learn pup. A lot of worries and money can be spent with a pup who needs a lot of 'help'. But to add to the money issues as well is the problem with the money and the prices since our nations are involved in a war and money from every country seem to be cycled into it which is causing a strain everywhere.. In America the dollar is falling, the euro is trying to hold on strong, but here in Germany our taxes have increased from 16 -19% that is a chunk of change when it comes to vet visits, dog food, dog training etc.. Good Luck with your 2.. and as for the docking issue.. it is now something that appears to be the 'new norm' so pups will be tailed. Take care.. jai and falko
