In the Uk what are the rules on showing a castrated male in the ring? I always thought they could be shown as long as a letter was presented to the table before hand. ? Has this rule now changed? Should a castrated male be placed in a class if he is better constructed than all his other ring fellows ??
Also if he was placed well in an open show, would he stand a chance in the group later on or would be disregarded by a group judge later on ?
Any judges answers on the second question would be appreciated.

Hi Rachel,
In the USA showing and titles are only allowed to prove breed worthiness, meaning you show to the world how you have a good example to breed from.
There are other ways to get involved with neutered or spayed canines, such as I will be doing with my Bully. I'm registering w/AKC for an ILP number to register with NAVHDA and to join the Alaska Chapter -Greatland Navhda to begin with his Natural Ability test and then move up in training to try the Utility test as he has much drive and should do well.
