I have 3 rescue weims in kennels and they have been there for such a long time.... the youngest is now getting so "mad" in his kennels he could hurt himself. The kennels staff are spending as much time with him as possible but they cant be there all day. he is only 9 months old and has had 3 homes already. he has been there since beginning of december last year. The other 2 have been in there a long time too but they are a little older and coping a little better.
I am desperate for these 3 dogs and would appreciate any help, especially from the members in England, please ask around. None of the dogs have lived with children.

hello Lynn, I'm so very sorry to hear this. Poor puppy, he must feel so sad and confused. I wish I could help but I live in Portugal so there's not much chance I can. Good luck on finding good homes for those unfortunate boys. best rute, miguel, iago

hello again Lynn since my last post something has happened, a sort of sad landmark - for the first time, I have seen a Weimaraner in a shelter for abandonned animals here in Portugal. I had never seen one before. I was consulting a animal shelter website for the purpose of making a donation. I ran into the adoption page and there she was. The breed is still relatively uncommon in Portugal and I had figured - or maybe just hoped against hope - that it meant that people who went to the trouble of getting themselves such a special, specific dog would be up to the task, willing, loving and responsible. It was stupid of me I guess. I'm sorry if this sounds very infantile of me but it has really hit me hard. I'm new to being a "dog-mum" like my sister calls it, maybe that's it.

Oh dear Rute, how sad for the poor little weim. I hope she finds a home soon. Another bit of sad news is Flash is back in kennels.... the people said that he was "copulating" with the daughter.... I told them he was very stressed and this is how is sometimes manifests itself. But they wont give him time to settle...so he is back in kennels. Lynn

oh dear Lynn... I'm so sorry to hear about Flash. Bad things always seem to come in pairs. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Flash and the other 2 boys in your care, as well as my home girl. rute Oh dear Rute, how sad for the poor little weim. I hope she finds a home soon. Hi Rute, has the weim in your animal shelter found a home?
Flash has gone to another home and this time he has settled in brilliantly, they are thrilled to bits with him ... he now has his forever home ! Sultan has also found his forever home too.
2 dogs into new homes and 1 dog into rescue... so I still have 2 in kennels, Duncan and Barney.
