Hoi Josee! Mooie site hoor! Great website... also useful, the info you give on your site concerning the different trainings you can do with a Weimy... I thought that a Weimy can do agility when being 1 year old, but you say 15 months?

thank you for your compliments!! Making a website is really a hell of a job, i'm glad i'm a teacher You can probably do agility with 12 months, but the dogschool I'm training agility advise bigger dogs to start after 15 months, because you are then sure the muscles and bones are developed enough. Agility is a sport where you ask a lot from your dog's body (and mind) So I support that advise also to our people who are interested in weimies .....

Great website :-)
Gilbert, Weims can start baby agility with no big jumps earlier in life but because growth plates do not close until they are between 15 and 18 months old it is wise to hold off from anything too strenuous which could knock shoulders out of joint etc.
One of my friends who is a FT trainer/breeder wouldn't even let Abbie go up and down stairs when she was a pup, indoors or outdoors. She insisted on stair gates and ramps. Bit over the top maybe but if you want to compete or show I suppose you need to ensure that your dog is in tip top condition.
