I was wondering I'm going to by Thor a harness and I don't know what size to buy. His girth is 27 1/8 inches will his chest get any bigger or is this about it for his growing. I know it can vary between dogs but I was wondering what the averages were for size, weight and around the chest.

I have no idea about sizes, but I really recommend a harness like this: This is one is padded, unlike many other harnesses. Tiz fab!!!

It depends what you want a harness for.
There are several models depending on whether you want it for tracking or to use it instead of a collar and lead.
I use harnesses for tracking and use best quality English bridle leather which will outlive several dogs if cared for properly, they are made to measure.
The feedback from training professionals is that the Halti Harness is the most successful for those people who are having problems with pulling dogs.
If you do a google search I would imagine they are available in the US.
