At the present time Victorian [Australia] breeders are being pushed to de-sex their puppies before they go to their new homes.
Dr Hugh Wirth [President of the R.S.P.C.A. and President of W.I.S.P.] has already spoken to the Victorian Premier Mr. Steve Bracks and it is all looking like becoming and ugly reality.
Can you imagine having your babes go under the knife at the age of just 6 weeks!
Sadly the Victorian Canine Council Inc [V.C.A. Inc] has not responded to the government of this subject and now the government sees this as an endorsement by the VCA Inc.,.
BTW, the VCA Inc., is the state registrar for pure bred dogs and is affiliated with the A.N.K.C.
I would like to ask if anyone can point me to scientific research which clear shows negative side effects from early age de-sexing. All information that can be gathered will be used in a submission to the government in an argument against early age de-sexing.
Many thanks
