Hi,
I have an eight yr old female Weim that barfs us yellow bile if she has to wait to long between meals. Is this like a low blood sugar thing? Has anyone seen this in there dogs? She is great in everyother way, but she has done this her whole life.
Thanks,

My older (greedy) boy will sometimes do this early morning before his breakfast time. I have read that it can be because they are hungry and ready for a meal (empty tums). I read that if you feed some charcoal biscuits it should help. I give my boy a few biscuits before bedtime as a snack in between his tea and breakfast

Yes, this can be normal. Because the stomach is empty for too long, too much bile is produced which can irritate the stomach which can make a dog vomit. Give a small extra meal in between and the problem will be solved.

One of my dogs used to do that but the older it got, then it stopped. Feeding a small handful of food does seem to help. Rachel
