sorry so used to abbreviating words Sire and Dam. The americans have a forum where this sort of thing has come up before on Yahoo and they are very helpful when it comes to health, being such a large place they've seen most of it.
I can post the link if you like?

Hello grauestrio,
I have just left a private message for you - I am sorry I'm picking this up so late.
I do know about SRMA - it's the steroid responsive form of meningitis, and it is an autoimmune disease. One of my Kimber's litter brothers had it too.
As the name suggests, this condition is treated with immuno-suppressive dosages of steroids (usually preds), and all the usual precautions that apply to autoimmune conditions should be observed.
Please contact me privately, or apply for membership to the list that Cheryl has posted here. I'll be looking out for your application.
With best wishes, Christina
