The mystery that is Susanne von Aspern maybe about to be solved ;D ;D
In this months WCA magasine there is an article on Pedigree Researching by Arthur F Martin from Hoch Essen Weimaraners. Arthur has like many of us been collecting various information on pedigree's in his case the Sire and Dam lines of specific dogs.
According to his data Susanne V Aspern had her name changed from her original Austrian kennel name which would make perfect sense as we've always struggled to find info on this particular bitch that is present in so many of todays lines. I am trying to verify this data and if it is accurate then will publish the details and pass them around to those who are interested.
Knew someone out there had the info, what a wonderful stroke of luck ;D ;D ;D

Wow, how in the heck did you get your WCA magazine so quickly? I just got mine yesterday and saw the same article. Had you been in touch with him before?

Have to say Amy is pretty good at getting them out swiftly I got mine a few days ago and she very kindly sent me a copy of the original article because mine had lots of square thingys in there so some of the data was obscured. The magasine this month also had an interest article on health which might be of interest to some people. I hadn't been in touch with Arthur before but he is a lovely person to talk to and has been great over email. I want to verify the info that I have with the austrian stud books but this may take some time as they are not available but the data does look promising especially as Arthur has a 3 generation pedigree for this particular dog. There will be a follow up article in next months magasine I believe so I am hoping that Arthur will include this information in his next article. I knew someone out there had to have it.... its just knowing the right person Daniela I ment to come and say hi at crufts apologies for not doing so my headless chicken head was on ;D ;D I even managed to drop my phone in the loo.... ;D

Daniela I ment to some and say hi at crufts apologies for not doing so my headless chicken head was on it ;D ;D LOL Tasha. Well if it's any consolation, it took me hours to find Dianne from Australia. Thankfully, she found me although she was just about to go shopping when I met her, so she could still be at the NEC ;D I think I may have glimpsed you Tasha but sometimes I see people in pictures and think I know them and start chatting away, when in fact I have completely the wrong person so sometimes I don't say anything at all for fear of embarrassing myself. I actually did this with Simon Callow the actor from Four Weddings and a Funeral. I had seen him a couple of times in London, and thought I knew him, so the last time I saw him I smiled and said hi, thinking that he travelled on the same train as me or something and then when I saw Four Weddings, I realised why the face was familiar. Doh. ;D

Hey! Not fair that you are getting the magazines before us! LOL! Amy has been great; she was very easy to work with when I did an article last month.

definitely an asset considering she's a relative newbie to both the magasine and weimaraners.. think poaching her from dobermanns was a wonderful idea She's pretty quick on her replies as well of the two emails that I sent today I had a reply in less than an hour, have to say I'm very impressed
