Alabama is the first weimaraner bred in the UK for more than 35 years to earn the American Champion title. He was successfully shown in the UK and Ireland prior to travelling to the USA in 2004. He qualified for the prestigious Pup of the Year competition (Ireland) 2003 taking Best Puppy (All-Breeds) at the Tralee Championship show. His first English CC was awarded at the Southern Counties Championship Show 2004, with a Best of Breed (entry 170) and Group 4 from the Junior Dog class (Group entry in excess of 2000!). In America, he was made up quickly, arriving in June and completing his title by July with Winners Dog at the Weimaraner Club of GC's Breed Specialty show (5 point major).
His dam is American import Ir Sh/Ned/Lux Ch SmokyCity Rivenwil Revelation, his sire is a combination of the English working/show lines of Czolkins and the Ghostwind lines of Australia. This combination has produced an exceptional working dog in Alabama. He has obtained his AKC obedience title (CD) and Hunt Test title (JH) with limited training. In 2004, the Weimaraner Club of America awarded him the Versatile Rating (V).
Alabama is siring quality puppies with hunting ability. Available at stud to those seriously interested in producing quality Dual-purpose Weimaraners, not just show dogs.
Frozen semen is available for export, but he can travel to Europe for stud work if needed, as he has a Pet Passport- and may be we will get to have a nice holiday too! ;D.
