Hi, I've already posted in the new member introductions, but thought I'd also post here since my girl is imported from the USA to France. She came with me when I moved. She had just turned one year old. There is no quarantine in France. I have a friend here who is French and also imported a Weim from the USA. I'll have to ask my friend what age he had to wait to import his dog. Here is a link to France's import laws if that interests you: www.ambafrance-us.org/intheus/customs/7000.asp#dacOnce here, at one year of age the dog will be "Confirmed" by a judge. If they conform to the FCI standard, they will then be issued a pedigree, or in my case, Ellie's pedigree/registration was transferred to a LOF # (registration in France) once she was confirmed. They will also be rated at confirmation. Here are the "logistics" of my girl: Fairhaven's Wind Dancer "Ellie" 07/31/02 USA date 31/07/02 in France! AKC Registration # SR027463/09 LOF # 7 BR.W.PC 021505/05074 Confirmed: Excellent Hips: A (Excellent) T.A.N. 2 R.C.A.C.I.B, excellent 2 R.C.A.C.S, excellent Anyway, here's a link to my little website (in progress) www.greendolphin.com/us/

Hi Inicole,
Nice to have you here ! We came also to France to do the TAN with our male Bill. He just passed it with glow like your Ellie, and since that day we also do field trials with him.

Hi! Sorry took me so long to reply. I was on vacation in America for a few weeks and catching up with life when I got back. I live in the Loire Valley in France. Just out of curiousity, why didn't you do the TAN in Belgium? Do they not do it there?
