We were visited after the Australian Nationals this year by Michele Govette of DEERPATH Weimaraners from the USA. Michele bred one of the most influential sires of the Australian Weimaraner history AM/AUST CH DEERPATHS CHARLEMAGNE IMP USA...he is found behind most Australian Weimaraners. Michele fell in love with our Mia who was then 5 months and had been doing well for us, she was our next star! We had taken 2 years to get a puppy out of her mother, Portia, CH Greydove Indiana Affair.... Well Michele Loved both Mia and Frankie and asked if she could take Mia back to the states to campaign her and start out her kennel again.... although sad that she has gone we couldnt' resist such a great opportunity for Mia which also leaves us open to be able to breed her directly for ourselves in the USA as we still own her too. So a few of our friends have been asking 'where is she' and we have only now been able to tell...she landed in the US on 1 December and has made herself at home... I will let all know how she goes when she hits the showrings next year but its a lovely feeling that someone appreciates what you bred enough to want to go this far to start your kennel again....Australia is a long way from New Jersey, USA... Wow, that name is a blast from the past. I remember the dog's name from old breed books. You must be so excited
