Hi,
The exciting news at Grauhund is the welcoming of Boomer Amer. Ch. Nani's Cross Check JH (Imp USA). I was able to purchase Boomer from Chris Grisell as she has his father Amer. Ch. Nanis Indecent Exposure who is only 3 years old and she has just started specialling him. In the US it is difficult to special 2 dogs at the same time unless you have a professional handler and that is big money so she agreed to sell him to me.
Boomer is currently in quarantine after a long but not too bad flight from LA. He has a very easy relaxed temperament and he is used to travelling so came through the flight without a problem. He arrived in Melbourne when the temperature was 39 C (98F) which was a bit of a shock for him after leaving snow, however he handled it quite well and I just kept wetting him down with a big sponge. In Melbourne quarantine station you are allowed to take them out into the exercise area which is so good for them to stretch their legs. In the heat they have misting sprays on to keep the dogs cool which does help the dogs coming from cold countries.
Boomer comes home on the 28th February and I cannot wait to welcom him into our home.
His breeding will bring some new lines into the country and he will be very suitable to be used on Levi's daughters.
