I'm Claire and live in bonny Scotland, although I'm not Scottish ! I have 3 weimaraners, all docked shorthairs, oldest bitch Nell is 7½yrs, my only boy Harris is 5yrs and my ickle puppy bitch Whistle who is nearly 6mths. I show and work my dogs, well to the best of my ability anyway ;D All my dogs are from the Tasairgid kennel in Scotland and so they have Colsidex, Nani and Gunalt in their lines. The American lines have come through very strong in Harris giving him, IMO, a wonderful head, this has proved not to be to my advantage under some of the UK judges Thankfully not all which has resulted in Harris getting his KC stud book number, something I was thrilled with as we beat some fantastic dogs that day. Harris is a working dog which he enjoys much more than showing. I am currently preparing for my puppy's first show which will be in 2 weeks time I'm also an area officer for Independent Weimaraner Rescue & Re-homing Service (aka Weimaraner Rescue and IWRRS for short). IWRRS is a registered charity in Scotland. Looking forward to nattering with you all once I have learnt to navigate myself around here

Hi Claire, welcome to the board. I've always wanted to see Scotland, I love the music and culture, and then the desire increased when I found that some of my ancestors came from Scotland and Wales. It sounds like you keep very busy, you didn't mention how many dogs you have---but from what you mention and the rescue, it sounds like a full plate to me.

Wake up Mr. Wetdog, hehehehehehehe!!!! Three of her own---she didn't mention whether she might have rescues fostering also.........that is what I had in mind. When you do rescue, things can get a bit cozy sometimes.
