-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- if there is anyone near to Nantwich in cheshire that could vet a dog for me I would be most grateful. The lady I was going to ask has moved....  Thanks in advance. Lynn PS: Karen has kindly offered to foster short term. Marjolein is there any chance of setting up a section for people who would like to volunteer to help with rescue, be it vetting homes or dogs or indeed fostering! Could they leave their details and then if I need help in their area I could contact them. Thanks |

I was in the process of working out a foster register just before I was cut off in my prime from the OTHER lot. Oh well their loss......
I am willing to help co-ordinate the list if you need any help Lynn.

Lesley, That would be great if you could help. I am so busy with rescue at the moment. A 2 1/2 yr old coming in. Had e mail this morning. Also had a call about 2 x 12 mth olds left when owners divorced. Will find out more about them this evening.

Lynne I can start a database of helpers. Just need to work out all the various bits of info you need on it. It is then easy enough to sort out into areas, fosters, transporters etc.
Not sure what else I can do to help but try me....I get free phone calls so am always willing to natter to prospective weim owners and vet homes.

Lesley, A database would ideally consist of obviously the name, location (postcode area is good) and a contact phone number. Sometimes we get dogs/homes that need vetting quickly and not everyone checks their e mails daily. (I know I dont!) Areas that the checker can check (a comfortable distance 30-45 mins), whether they can both home and dog check and whether they can foster..... Foster homes are short on the ground so anyone who can is especially welcome. Then if you keep that uptodate and if you let me have a number where I can contact you on, or do you check your e mails regularly?
