Dear all, I have read the similar topic on crate sizes for adult weims and the link Marjolein has given there. But to tell the truth I have still a problem. In two weeks I must ship two pups to Bulgaria and I still can't make up a decision about the crate size. The pups will be 8 and 10 weeks old (I can't measure them now) and they will travel in separate crates of course. Which size would you advise to choose: 53x40x38 68x51x48 81x56x58 91x61x66 102x69x76 122x81x89 I have an impression that 68x51x48 should be OK, but I am not sure.... What do you think? Thanks for any advice. I must buy the crates urgently.

The best size for crating puppies is that the pup must can stand up easely... If the pup can not stand up, the crate is too small... So I think, Iza, 68 cm should be enough...

Dear Kobie, I know that the pup must stand easily but the problem is that I can't try it... We ship DOCENT's son from one litter and a granddaughter from another. Since these are not our "home" litters, we don't have them at the moment and that's why we can't measure them and fit the crate. Today I have asked my friends to measure these pups and they say that the pups are 45 cm tall (together with their heads ;D) So the 68cm crate should be OK. Well, we will know sooner or later.... I hope they will survive the flight. I am terrified anyway... bye Iza

I cannot help, it really depends on the size of the pups and I think you're making the right decision taking the 68 cm one. Good luck anyway, I'd be terrified too!
