Hello! I just found your forum. My fab weim fam consists of 4: Groovy (my first ever weim, age 8, he's woofing cancer as we speak and truly my inspiration), Dreamy (my first girl, age 7, the most independent weim I've ever known), Jack (my youngest rescue, part weim/part catahoula/part badass, age 4), and Reiman (my most recent rescue, age 10ish, velcro). My biggest thrill is photographing them, I'll share pics soon...website is hometown.aol.com/groovydreamyfab/1human4weims.htmlAlso started Groovy's cancer journey, hometown.aol.com/groovydreamyfab/cancer.htmlThis chronicles all his cancer stuff, the horrible and the ecstatic, as we lived it. Anyway, I'm basically just a dork who lives for her weimies. Glad to have found this board! Cassandra

hello Cassandra welcome to the forum! I have checked out your pictures - very nice! Groovy is such a hero! My name is Rute and I live in Lisbon, Portugal with my husband Miguel and our soon-to-turn-1-year-old Weim Iago. I loved reading you page and your Weims' pages too. Non-Weimed people can' really grasp the concept of relinquishing one's pillow and bed rights to the Weim, now do they? When I grow up I wanna be a mum to 4 Weims too. Miguel says "Fat chance of that ever happening ..." Oh well, I'm keeping optimistic about that! Iago is an expert vertical bed climber and will nestle between miguel and me, at the least provocation (i.e., once he figures we're too sound asleep to retaliate). Look forward to talking to you!!

Hi Cassandra--welcome to the board. Fantastic family and what a wonderful website, I really enjoyed it, thank you. I really liked meeting Groovy, Dreamy, Jack and Reiman. What a great story about Groovy, I hope he continues to improve everyday. It's got to be inspiring to anyone who reads about him.

Hi Cassandra and welcome from us and our 4 weims.
I have just read about your dogs cancer and thought I would post as we have a homebred male that has just had his cancer return (well tbh, it never really went away in our opinion). He had a mast cell tumour removed aged 8 months, and funnily enough he had this from 8 weeks old, in what we thought was a bite from another puppy. We kept him over his littermate so that we would have the puppy with the little sore on his leg.
He is now 5 years old, and we have been worried about him for a while, but recently noticed that his original cancer surgery scar had spatters of redness, and things that were happening to him over at least the last year now were worrying us, so here we are fighting it again.
Welcome aboard anyway,
Nina, Duncan and our weims

Welcome from me too Cassandra. I've looked at your site regularly for some time now. Love the photos and your dog health updates are so informative.
