A friend of mine, who has GLP's, qualified for Crufts at our Winner in 2004. That means she got a ticket for 2005 or 2006. Since the bitch wasn't ready yet, she had to wait till 2006. Now she was about to enter her bitch, and found out that the GLP's aren't judged at Crufts yet. They will be judged in England from July next year on. Poor friend!!!!!! I really hope she will be able to qualify again, since it's quite an honour to be able to show your dog there!!!!

Mar, just reading this and thought on - why doesn't she contact the KC and ask them which class to enter - I have tried today and couldn't get an answer, but the number is 0870 6066750 extension 281 (for the Crufts department). If GLPs are being judged in 2007 for example, they might carry forward the qualification? They did say that GLPs are on the import register - and I believe this category has it's own classes, so maybe she could enter those??

GLP are only on the import register at the moment as so do not have their own classes.
Therefore there will not be a class at Crufts for this breed.
Once they have been added to the regular list and have their own breed classes at Championship shows they will appear at Crufts.

Yes, I know that. Unfortunately her ticket expires this year and since she hasn't entered her bitch this Winner show, her chances are not very big in getting another ticket.

Mar get her to put it in writing to Crufts that there are no classes - when Jensen was ill they carried forward his qualification 12 months - they might do the same in this case?
