The WCGB has rescheduled the training day which had to be cancelled last month due to floods.

9.30 for 10am – 4pm
At Beckley, East Sussex, ½ hour from Flimwell on A21.
From A21 Flimwell traffic lights take A268 through Hawkhurst, Sandhurst, Newenden. Take left turn, A268 to Rye. At Beckley, first left at mini-roundabout. Follow this road/lane about half a mile, turn right into gateway. Signed from mini-roundabout. SatNavvers: TN31 6TT

‘Rescue Breakfast Bacon Buttie’ & tea or coffee on arrival for £1.50 and 50p goes to Weimaraner Rescue
Lunchtime Scurry in aid of Weimaraner Rescue.

This is the day after Lynn's Fun Day in Kettering. What a busy Weimaraner weekend we are going to have.......

The water day was a great success and we actually got Holly to retrieve a few times when using a real bird. Obviously likes the real thing. She says we can stuff our dummies.......


Alister (my husband in the wet suit) and Suzi B with Holly desperately wanting to get back to the bank.



She was a B*gger to get in the water but once in she would swim so nice and calmly, but I don't think she loved it.

I had a great day despite being stuck in those waders Thankfully the group I was in were all good swimmers so I didn't need to use them and stayed dry all day haha!

These days are fantastic to get the dogs swimming and worth the journey.

There are rather alot here but they tend to be pets and shown rather than worked which is a pity but days like this really encourage people to get out there and have a go and thats what its all about.

Bonnie's swimming & retrieve of the dokken ducky not a brilliant return because she dropped it and decided to have a shake but still not bad for a dog that used to hate the water ;D ;D

It looks great Tasha. Sometimes you need a lot of training with your dog, but I think, when Bonnie is used to swim in the water, she will like it.

haha!! Its ok bonnie is now an expert swimmer and a regular in the water herding ducks but we did struggle getting her in the water consistantly when she was younger. One of the reasons i volunteer to do these days is so that other people who are having the same struggle that we did get the opportunity to train their dogs and a chance to improve

we do however have to work on our finish as madam does like to have a bit of a shake prior to handing over her prize
