WCGB Special Meeting for Rescue 21 October

Members of the WCGB are invited to attend an open meeting regarding the Rescue, Rehoming and Welfare Service at 10a.m. on Sunday 21st October 2007 in the Pickwick Room, Saracen's Head Hotel, 219 Watling Street, Towcester, Northants.

One of the topics on the table is funding but also about the future of how rescues will be dealt with, at the last AGM it was suggested that healthy dogs who have not been able to be placed might possibly be PTS something Absolutely NONE of the rescue co-ordinators are prepared to do, but this is YOUR CLUB and YOU have a right to say HOW your money is spent.

PLEASE PLEASE VOTE WITH YOUR FEET and come to the meeting our dogs need your support!!!

If one of the Rescue Co-ordinators could provide an agenda for this meeting I would be very grateful.

I don't think the agenda will be out until a couple of weeks before the meeting. However, things in any other business can be discussed AND voted on.

Any new members who get the form in before the date also have the right to attend and vote. The membership becomes official at the next committee meeting but meanwhile you still have all the rights of membership apart from joining the puppy list.

We do not yet have an agenda for the meeting. Not sure if the agenda is published before the "event" or youwill haev to wait until the day. Will check that one for you!

I think for this meeting to be effective it would be beneficial to have the agenda available in advance especially as this is a special meeting and not an AGM.

People won't get passionate about something if they don't know anything about it or if they are not aware of the gravity of the situation. Its an awful long way for most people to travel in person and if the AGM's attendance level is anything to go by this meeting could do with all the RIGHT publicity that it can get. I'll be attending if its possible.

Anyone coming to the meeting please bring a bottle.... we are holding a raffle (in aid of rescue), I already have about a dozen bottles of booze so any additions gratefully accepted.
