Well I have always wanted to go and now I am finally going! Tomorrow, I will be leaving London for New York! I am very excited as I have never been to NY before. Aside from the 'dawg' show, I have a 'to do' list as long as my arm - including the Sex and the City tour (!) but where there's a will, there's a way! I have heard it's pretty crowded at "the garden" but I will be there early to try and tip someone out of their seat. Maybe my London Underground skills will come in handy after all... I don't have a great camera but if I manage to get any good images, I will upload them to my website when I get back. Other than that, if the breed footage gets loaded on to the Westminster website, maybe I'll give you a wave! New York I'm a-coming! x

Well, I am back, and I had a wonderful time. New York is a lovely city and very much like London but so much cheaper! We were lucky enough to be located just a couple of blocks away from the venue which was pretty handy come the second day of Westminster, as it was snowing I slipped over but some how managed to keep the coffee I was carrying, afloat. I personally think I should have been awarded points for technical precision! I attended both days of Westminster and it was all I expected except for the finale on Sunday evening. My gosh, the atmosphere there was something else! Oh my, I had goose bumps. It was really special to see how the American exhibitors and public really cheer on the dogs. Out of their seats, shouting after the breed they want to win and generally just going for it! Marge, the Weimaraner, won the Group, and come the Best in Show line-up, I joined in like a New Yorker, got out of my seat and cheered her on all the way. You cannot help but get caught up in the buzz at that show. My rest of my trip was spent being a "tourist" and it would be no gross exaggeration to say I walked the whole half of Manhattan because........."it looked small on the map"........big mistake but at least I stumbled across some lovely areas which I may not have seen if I had taken a taxi. The return flight was eventful! My stomach felt like I was on a fairground ride. Turbulence on a big scale. Sheesh. As for pictures, well........kinda grey dots on green carpet! Got some pictures of me sitting on Carrie's step though
