Hi Mar and Ilana, He he he, sorry, you are right. Here is the letter I wrote to my breeder Ingrid, Wendy - Audry's Dad's owner, and my friend Maree who arranged this superb puppy for us. --------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Ingrid, Maree and Wendy,
I'm sorry this is a joint letter, but there is so much to say and not much time as I need to get back to writing my MA paper.

So, these are pictures of Audry's VERY FIRST SHOW here in Latvia! It was a hunting breeds speciality put up by our club, and even though I WAS nervous, I knew I had a superb dog, so I was not worried TOO much. Audry gaited fine, (I still need to work on it with her), but when she stacked, EVERYONE was blown away. I could hear the judge dictating the critique to the secretaries in a clear, loud voice, and it was so awesome to listen to it as I was stacking our girl. "Correct size, good build, beautiful expressive head, typical lines and proportions, eyes currently changing their colour, correct bite, teeth currently changing, long neck, beautiful body lines with a strong topline, well-developed chest, excellent angulation, effortless and ground-covering movement." Wow wow wow wow!!! was all I could think. In the end, the judge announced the evaluation: "'Excellent' and whatever else is the highest award a puppy can be given at this show." Since this was only a Baby class, we were given a PP (Promotion Prize). Unfortunately, there was no Baby In Show or Puppy In Show competition, but I would have liked to see how Audry would compare to the other pups there.
The judge (FCI Judge Natalya Bulelik from Belorussia) thanked us as she was done with the critique, and said that it was a pleasure to see Audry. And it all continued as we walked out of the ring - probably the BEST thing was to hear experienced handlers tell me that they were DROOLING while Audry was stacking in the ring.
Looking at those pics I do see that her rear legs were a bit too far back (the show side especially), and the judge even corrected that once Audry stacked herself, and asked me if I had shown German Shepherds before, LMAO. I'll have to practice stacking her more, too, in front of a mirror.
At the show, she was SO excited to meet all the dogs that I realized I had been taking it for granted when I saw a 6 months old Bracco Italiano puppy that was awfully shy and didn't want to see ANY dogs at all. Audry wanted to kiss everyone there, even after she got told off by an older GSP bitch. Needless to say, she loved meeting people as well, but not so much as the dogs. LOL
All I can say right now is BIG THANKS for sending us SUCH a puppy. Thanks very, very much for everything. I cannot believe, looking at these pics, that it is me in the ring with her, it is SUCH a dream come true.
Love, Irena and Audry---------------------------------------- And I would ALSO like to say BIG, HUGE thanks to my BEST friend, Fred (Mr Wetdog), who helped this dream of many, many long years come true. THANK YOU, Freddy. I love you.
