Daan also finished her Dutch show championship today btw!!! I'm thrilled, gobsmacked, excited, etc. etc. etc.!!! Was a good day for uncle and niece (Chez and Daan)!!!

Congratulations! Though I don't know your showing terms, it sounds like you had very good luck at this show. (I'm assuming you were both at the same Weim show/trial?) I asked in another post about anyone doing SAR work w/their Weim, do most people opt for hunting type tracking rather than Search and Rescue tracking? I'd love to hear success stories about teaching our Weims to find lost people.....
Oh, and since I live in Wisconsin, USA, I'm also looking for some nice longhairs which have good lineage for tracking/SAR since my shorthair female has run into some prejudice about her tolerance for winter search conditions.

Yes, I do track with both my girls, but it's only the hunting type of tracking. Although they do pretty well, they can never compete with a Dachshund for example.
