Congratulations!
I'm wondering now, how did you teach her to track? Which method did you use, and how does she track - does she do "footstep" tracking as in Schutzhund?

I don't think you teach dogs to track, they all do it naturally, all you do is shape the dog to track more accurately and to ignore cross tracks, cope with the wind direction and lots of experience on differing ground eg plough, stubble, crop, grass and differing weather conditions. I think Weims track for a past time! When the Foot and Mouth problem was rife I used to lay tracks on an asphalt car park, and my dog will track on variable surfaces. She only footstep tracks on rolled plough, the rest of the time, if growth is good, you can see that the smell of the crushed vegetation must be overpowering for them most of the time.
