Hi everyone, After a successful weekend of shows our boy Austin is now Aust. CH Ashlaren Gerroa "Austin". We're very excited as he is our first show dog and still only 14 month old!!! Congrats again to Wendy on getting Emmie's (NZ CH Ashlaren Cezanne) title too. 2 Ashlaren champs in the same month! Here are some recent pics of Austin. Unfortunately none from the weekend as my wife Lisa and i were both in the ring. www.ashlaren.com/subpage8.htmlBig thanks to Lainie and Rachel for all their help and handling to get him close enough to his title so that i could handle him for the last few points and steal all the glory ;D ;D ;D

Hi Narelle,
Finished it off at Cootamundra. It was a great weekend.
Had a family come up to us asking after you too. The lady had lost your number and came along hoping to find you there. I gave her the website address and told her to try and contact you that way. Sorry, but the name has totally escaped me.
Thanks for the congrats, Steve

Coota is a good show...I used to live in Wagga Wagga for 6 years so I have spent alot of time doing that circuit down the Riverina....was it a show person looking for me or spectator? Wasn't someone called Cheryl was it???

This weekend we also had some more great news from one of our Ashlaren Team members as Colleen Davis and partner Tony Rowland sent me the results of the Retrieving Trial held at Marulen, about 200 klms south of Sydney. Colleen and Tony own, show and trial Aust Ch Ashlaren Oxford ("Ernie"). Here are the results as sent to me by Colleen.
Ernie - Aust Ch Ashlaren Oxford ET owned by C Davis, handled by T Rowland was awarded the following results:
ACT Gundog Society trial at Lambrigg Saturday 29 April - 3rd place. Judge - G Parkinson ACT
Gundog Society trial at Lambrigg Sunday 30 April - 1st place. Judge - Maureen Cooper ( a qualifying certificate was awarded for this result)
Gundog Society Inc trial at Marulan Saturday 20 May - 2nd place. Judge - G Parkinson Gundog
Society Inc trial at Marulan Sunday 21 May - 1st place. Judge - R Tawton
This means that Ernie needs one more first placing to have the title NRD after his name. This title is not easy to gain so go for it Ernie! Last year,Ernie won the award for the 2005 NSW Weimaraner Club Versatile Weimaraner of the Year. Congratulations Colleen, Tony and of course clever Ernie!!

I also forgot to congratulate Paulina of Imperium Star Weimaraners and Oska (Aust Ch Ashlaren Caipiroska) who went BIG 3 on the weekend. I am not sure where the show was held. Well done! By the way, all 25 puppies sired by Oska are doing well!! (Don't worry, he sired TWO different litters!!)
