And his stupid
Well, now I learned for next time...
I would like to mention that this BIG placement of Allegro means a lot to me, as in the FCI group VII were 90% dogs from Italy. And it's well known that italian judges ALWAYS gibe best placements to dogs from their country. The dogs in competition were really beautifull specimens who are mostly multi BIG winners, multi champions, most rewarded dogs in Italy (in the competition was also beautiful Drago Dell Biondo, famous cousin of my pointer Norman, who looks much the same as Norman, like he was his twin brother). And Allegro, the young weim in developement, won over them all!!!! I was just praying that this judge gives Allegro just 3rd place, as I expected he would give first placements to italian dogs, and I also liked that pointer a lot...
Can you imagine my reaction? I was jumping, I was yelling....The whole place echoed of my joy and happines screams! It was amazing. I am so happy and so proud. And after that he went for Best of Day competition. Although Allegro is not yet in show condition and gets easily tired after the ring judgement and judgement for BIG, he surpriced me with his endurace and show stamina, because he competed twice time more, as I "gave" him also into a Junior handling competition with best slowenian Junior handler Lana, and they had to go through a very tough examinations that was parted in 3 parts, prequalification, main qualification and actual competition BIS junior handler. They won 2nd place!
As that young girl was presenting Allegro very good I gave her Allegro for BIG and BOD competition. I was handling him in JrBOD competition. He ws really great.
And after the great wins, we took a big swimm in the Sea, as a rewarding for such great wind from the show!
Allegro and I enjoyed it all.
And than today I found out how stupid I was that I didn't know that he had to show up today for BIS where his chances of winning this too, were just great, as everybodey at the show yesterday (some people from organization, the photographers, the exhibitors, were whispering "weimaraner will winn") and they applaused for him when the judge asked the handler to show his movement. It was also amazing that also our competition, applaused a lot (in the BOD competition, italian exhibitors/breeders of pointers and english setters were applauding for Allegro). This was such a reward and such great show for me. I am very happy and very, very proud. And it's really a pitty that Allegro won't show up today as the representative of group 7, that impressed the judge in the breed judgement right away. Bezzechi was giving him a lot of praises and asked me if I had more of weims like that at home, wanting to know from where does he come and telling me that All. will be a great champion dog one day. I remained silent about Allegros previous BISS wins and about his three championships that he already has. This is the reason why winning BIG & Best Of Day (BOD) under the same judge later was more rewarding as he didn't know anything about Allegros wins before!!!
Huh, now this post went too long.
Anyway I had to share my joy and happiness with you all, as I know how you all will understand this more than anybodey else, as you all have been through it, weren't you...
