Today we had the last hunting day of the season. I brought both dogs, but gave Mowgli to my friends daughter. She's such a great dog, she'll work for anybody. She did great btw. She pointed a pheasant and brought back a runner. She wasn't allowed to run today btw, she was just for bringing back game. Perfect!!!
Daan did very well too. She brought back one pheasant which she did perfect. Thanks to her a couple of pheasant could be shot. We were hunting in an area with fruit trees and all these little dense bushes. Without a dog, you won't find much game because they'll hide. Daan was on point at least 15 times. She couldn't retrieve, because the game couldn't be shot where we where.
This was such a great way to end the season. All went perfect today. Can't wait for the next field trial season!!! Really think we're ready for it!!!
