how do you pronounce his name? Vei-o-inn? how should the õ sound? And what does it mean? It's not an õ. It's a ð. It's the letter "eth" So, it's pronounced "VEY-thin", with a sounded "th" (as in "that" -- slightly like a D). It's Old Norse (spoken in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland during the middle ages) and it means "master hunter".

WOW, that's interesting! I'd never seen a ð before ... that is quite a beautiful name! And appropriate too!
