Hi all! I've just discovered this site, and I thought it would be nice to join! Ofcourse I have a weim too (my first one - Newdays Pride of the Grey Noble - but in his daily life we call him Tyler - much more easier... ), he is almost 9 months old and a real sweety. Although now and then he is showing some juvenile behavior.... Looking forward to "meet" you all! Greetings, Wendy

Hi Wendy Welcome to the Forum from me & my Louis who is now 2 years old. Hope you'll enjoy the company of like minded Weimaraner-lovers. You mean that your boy of 9 months is occasionally going through the 'Kevins' as they say in England??? I remember it very well with Louis - he was a master at that (and still is at times) - hehehehe
I have been in this breed for well over 30 years now, but previously in England - now I live in Spain and only have 1 Weim (sh), but he keeps me on my toes in the same way as when I had 5 of them. Still, I have the time now and I love doing things with him.

Hi Wendy and welcome to the board---I had to laugh though at your statement:
I'd say that is perfectly normal behavior for a Weimaraner, even if he were ten years old, and one of the things that makes them so fun to have around, you never know what they are going to do next---and never will.
And, Tyler is a very handsome guy!

Hi Wendy and welcome to the board. Tyler is a very handsome chappy and I am so jealous that he can swim and retrieve. I am on my second Weim after losing Abbie at almost 9 years old about 18 months ago. She was a natural and so easy to train once I knew how ;D. We took Holly on a month after we lost Abbie at the age of 5. Her previous owners did absolutely nothing with her and whilst I have clicker trained her to do a few tricks and she will retrieve and do a nice hold around the house and garden but she just wants to run and explore and sniff when out. Enjoy your boy and don't worry about his juvenile streak, it only lasts about 9 years ;D Seriously be ready for what we call the 'Kevins' any day now - don't say you have not been warned. Enjoy!!!

Thanks guys! Now I'm at least warned about 'the Kevins' ;D Till now Tyler behaves himself...... And indeed I'm very pleased with his passion for swimming and retrieving! Especially the swimming needed some stimulation , when he was younger I rewarded almost every contact he made with water! Now he loves it

Hi Wendy and Tyler, welcome from us in Germany, Falko is just 9 months last week. Can be a pest of a thing at times and quite juvenile as well. Impressive how your boy swims. I will be soon donning my suit and jumping into the lake with mine to teach him! The pics are lovely, he is very handsome jai and falko jai and falko..
