Sorry for the late reaction due to several things (renovating the house during the holidays, problems with Guapa)

That's right Sian, she 's the green collar.
And a real mischief ... we nearly lost her two weeks ago
Oh dear, the times (and money ) I already spent at the vet.
At 5 months she somehow managed to jump into the (working!) strimmer.
The vet had to cut a little piece of pad of her back paw. She was really brave and didn't move a bit whilst the whole "operation". Actually she looked really cute and walked in a very funny way with the white bandage on the leg afterwards
Three weeks ago, she "played" with a bee and got stung of course !
Result : muzzle completely swollen, respiratory problems. Again to the vet. Catheter in the front leg and injection of 2 types of cortisone. (the vet said she looked as she'd run away straight from the muppetshow with her funny swollen face )
Two weeks ago - and the most frightening this far : we were at my parents, when she suddenly came running from the back of the garden, the muzzle full of foam and drooling all over. A while before this occured, we noticed she smelled of fish so we linked this to "poisoned fish". In the meantime she vomitted, even though her empty stomach. Quickly to the vet !!
At the vet, she was close to getting into shock and his floor was wet ALL OVER from her constant drooling. A first anti-venom shot right away. The drooling stopped shortly after. But then the next hours at home ... They were really very very tense. You should have seen her .. her clear bright eyes had turned into pitch black (enlarged pupils). SO frightening. I really thought we were going to lose her. She looked so miserable and bad. And I waited and waited with anxiety. But she struggled her way through. The next day we went to the vet for the second shot and continued with medication and diet the following days.
Not the end of story though. A week later suddenly her stomach refused to "work" ; 12 hours after eating her food, she threw it up again, undigested. I didn't want to take any risks so once more to the vet ! Gastritis as a result of the poisoning. Medication and diet once again.
And now she finally seems to be doing OK .. fingers crossed !!
I've seen enough vets these last couple of weeks !
By the way, a few days after this happened with Guapa, my parents found a dead cat with foam on the muzzle under their car. Also poisoned.
Our Guapa doesn't seem to bother .. she keeps on hunting bees and keeps on picking up all kinds of things in the garden. She would eat just about everything.
I certainly hope she grows out of this behaviour !
And that's all for now !!
(well, it IS enough isn't it ?)
