Hi, a couple of pix to show what we’ve been up to. This is my Bellatrix (Bella) during one of our club training. Photos were taken by Cori Moesta who has given me permission to use. Fields had around 5 inches of water and it was raining. We had a blast! How lucky for me that a good photographer was there to capture these shots!

Hi, You probably met her brother, Bowie. A very nice boy. Bella is wearing her regular field collar that is waterproof and has a brass identification plate (pink) along with her electronic collar (orange). We are coming back to France this summer!

Hi Leslie, :-*very beautifull picts; I like it very much. Maybe we will meet during next summer of autumn on fields trials ? I have 11 eleven puppies at the moment and I will keep one female : a dear devil, she is the queen of escape and explore everywhere. I will do the TAN next september with her. Eleonore

Yes, I do hope that we will meet. If Bella isn’t in season yet - I hope to do the TAN July 7, otherwise I’ll find the next one after her season and then we will start doing the trials. I’m really looking forward to being back in France. Although I will also really miss my trainer here and all my Weim friends. 11 puppies! What joy and what work! I look forward to meeting your little devil. @+ Leslie

Amazing pics, a weimaraner of this colour looks dangerous, like a black panther... Bella is really like her name says: a beauty! And a true, magnificant hunter indeed! All the best, Kristina

The pics are fantastic Leslie. And I am so taking by the partridge she's retrieving. Beautiful. Unfortunately we don't have these red-legged ones over here.

All the best, Kristina Thank you. She looks particularly dark here as it was raining and a very dark day. Also, Bellatrix is a star in the constellation Orion, the hunter. Bellatrix means female warrior. And is she ever Alpha girl! LOL

Hi Leslie ! What great pics ! Thanks sharing them with us ! It seems you've such great conditions of training in US. I've seen Eliane's Boy, Bowie at "le Boulay Presly", a very promissing boy ! Lots of birds passion in him & full of energy in the fields ! Hope meeting you soon in France ! Marie.

Hi Marie,
I look forward to meeting you as well.
Yes, I am lucky to have great resources for training here in America. What I like it that a lot of trainers (dresseurs) will work with you to train your dog. I go every week and the trainer shows me how to handle my dog, so I’m finally learning. From what I’ve heard in France the trainers prefer to take the dog “en Pension”
What I miss in France is that the hunting opportunities are better than where I am locally. There are places to go for hunting but I have to drive a long ways and it isn’t as beautiful as France. There are beautiful places to go hunting in America, but just not near me.
I’m glad you saw Bowie, yes I think he has a lot of promise. He’s a wonderful boy. He was also swimming enthusiastically at 12 weeks old.
