Well I must say that I am really proud of our first and only litter we breed.
Today we had a phonecall from 1 of the puppybuyers who bought the dog for the hunting.
She has been with him on the hunting but only to look. She is still quit young, she was 10 months at that moment.
Dana was looking around at everything what happened on the field.
There were 6 guns and some dogs for the pheasant hunt. Some of the hunters asked several times to let Dana work, but he said no for later on maybe, she is still young....
1 of the hunters shoot a pheasant, but that pheasant flow to 2 fields further in the beets.
They kept on going with the hunt, and at the end the hunters asked to let Dana go at that moment to see if she could find the pheasant.
Well he let her go from the leash and she runned, over the water over the field to the next field. She came in the beets and was thinking, hmmmm this is not the right place on the wind. She came out the beets again. Walked around and at the edge she starts to run till the end of the field. She and after a while she was out of sight. The owner runned to the field. 10 minutes later he called her and the she came up out of the beets while the pheasant was jumping, she caught it and directly brought it back to the owner. All the hunters gave an aplause about her working ability, well that made the owner proud, but also us of course.
She goes wider then the German Pointers. She has more energy as the german pointers. So he couldn't think of a better dog.
He didn't learn her a thing, she knows it all from herself. Well from who will she have that
Also from Denmark we get the info that 1 of the puppies there who also is selled for the hunting is doing also very great. A reall good hunting dog. He was also from of young age a very promising dogs in the group where he trained as a puppy. He did things who older dogs do and not puppies.
