Silver lives in Africa, so he can go for hunting often but mostly for birds, retrieving agyptian geese is his favourite. Few days ago it was his first time in Springbok. He did instinctly what the breed was initially bred and he was so keen, so full of passion . That day was one of my best in S.Africa! I feel so proud of him and thought to share the pics from that day Enjoy!

Hehehe, but this is the Dutch/South African name. I'm sure they're called something else in English. I'll look it up for you.

Congratulations to you and Silver both Dimitri!!!
The pictures are wonderful, thank you--I hope you'll have more for us later too.
Could you explain what Silver's role in the hunt was? All I can say is, if he ran it down, THAT is truely amazing!

Hi Fred The pics are nice but now couple of weeks after that day I feel it was quite cruel so there'll be no other hunting of this type. I'll try explain to you how it worked. The animals were shot from a distance, something between 200 and 300 metres. Both of them they didn't die immediately. They were injured and trying to run and escape...Then Silver run, grabbed them from the neck, put them down and hold them like that until they were dead. He was so keen to do that but.... I'll try to send some pics of him retrieving aigiptian geese which is his favourite! Keep well Dimitri
