Only 2 more days and we're off to Scotland. We'll take the ferry from IJmuiden to Newcastle and from there to our hotel. It's the Dunalastair hotel in Kinloch Rannoch. Monday is the big day. We'll hunt then for partridge and pheasants. We'll be bringing our own dogs, I really wonder how they like it!!!! We've never hunted partridge before, it's forbidden in Holland. They do point partridge though, so that shouldn't be a problem. We'll be hunting on the Balbirnie estate near Fife. We're leaving again on the 4rd of October so it's only a short trip, but I am so looking forward to it. Will make pics!!!!  |

Hoots mon you better get your kilts out. ;D Hope you try some haggis and neeps then you will realise what goes into BARF food LOL. (I love haggis btw :-))

I know you will enjoy it, Scotland is definately one of my favourite places, such scenery, it's breathtaking.

Hehehe, I almost did, but a detour to where she lives was just a bit too far from where we were. But, I had one of the best hunting days ever. We were supposed to hunt for pheasant, duck, snipe and partridge and that's what we did. The dogs were on point almost constantly. Have never seen so many pheasants on one day in my life. Amazing. The partridges were amazing too and I think I made some fantastic pics of Roels Drentsch Partridge dog retrieving partridge (forbidden in Holland). We didn't do the snipe and were unable to shoot ducks, but the afternoon surely made up for that. The gamekeepers work their grounds with Spaniels and weren't used to HPR's. Luckily both Daan and Barak (drentsch partridge dog) did so well, they were really impressed with what they saw. That's why they took us to the moors later that day and we were allowed to work the dogs on grouse. We had three guns in our party and all three managed to shoot grouse free of charge. Pics were gorgeous.. did you download any of the ones we took when Tasha and I were with you guys a couple of weeks ago? I' m happy you had a great adventure and hope you are not too tired after your weekend..
I will try to come out again before cheerleading begins ( I am the coach) I may bring one child with me as well..

We stayed in a hotel in Kinnloch Rannoch and we hunted in Leslie, north of Edinburgh.
